Convent Bornhofen
The convent Bornhofen is located below the Castles Sterrenberg and Liebenstein. It was built around 1679-1684 and today is a pilgrimage church. After several conversions it provides enough place for 5000 pilgrims.

- The emblem of the Rhine Romance -
The legendary slate rock soars nearly vertically to the sky, 132 m above the Rhine.
The most famous of all legends is the one of fairy "Loreley", who could infatuate skippers with her unbelievable beauty, the long, golden hair and her glamorous melody, so that their boats were wrecked at the cliffs. Trails and stairs have been restructured and invite to get to know this old myth.

- The only stronghold at the Rhine which was not destructed-
The impressing building is located together with several other buildings, kennels and bastions on a rock over the river. The equipment documents the life in a medieval castle. Today the Marksburg is the seat of the German Castle Consortium.

The German Edge in Koblenz
- The estuary between Rhine and Moselle-
The memorial of the Emperor Wilhelm at the German Edge is one of those buildings, that have been constructed by the German Folk to the honour of Empeor Wilhelm I.
The headland between Moselle and Rhine got its name from the German Convent Knights, who had a settling in this region from 1216.

The Fortress Ehrenbreitstein in Koblenz
Opposite to the German Edge, on the other side of the Rhine the Castle and Fortress Ehrenbreitstein controls the Rhinevalley at this strategical important location from its 118 m high terrace.
